Physiatry (PM&R) software for post-acute and geriatric care

Physiatry, measured in the unit you're paid in.

AirPMR is software for physiatrists and the skilled nursing facilities they serve. Today it runs PM&R visit notes, rounding and therapy context from one screen. Next, a ledger that counts the work in RVUs and settles in US dollars.

In AirPMR today

  • Visit notes. Drafted from the chart, therapy records and the prior PM&R note, then reviewed, edited or dictated, and signed off in one screen.
  • Rounding. A rounding sheet and a list of new admissions for the building's census.
  • Therapy context. Who is on therapy, with the latest therapy notes pulled in daily.
  • Team connection. Messaging and video calls between clinicians, including visits through a telepresence robot.
  • Back office. Billing review and credentialing views for the practice.
  • Rehab view. A read-only view of PM&R recommendations and precautions for the therapy team.

PMR-RVU ledger

The PMR-RVU ledger will record each provider's work in relative value units (RVUs), the unit Medicare uses to value physician services, and settle it in US dollars at a rate published in advance.

PMR-RVU is an accounting unit inside AirPMR. It is not a currency, and it is not bought, sold or traded.

  • Work counted per provider, in RVUs
  • Settled in US dollars at a published rate
  • A unit of account inside the product only

AirPMR Credits

AirPMR Credits will be a prepaid US dollar balance that a facility or practice loads and spends only on AirPMR software subscriptions and support.

  • Loaded in US dollars by a facility or practice
  • Spent only on AirPMR software and support. Never on patient care: physician visits are billed to Medicare and other insurers as usual.
  • Not transferable, not redeemable for cash, not tradable
  • For facilities and practices only

How it works

  1. Draft

Before the visit, AirPMR assembles a draft note from the chart, the therapy records and the prior PM&R note.

  2. Review and sign off

The physiatrist reviews, edits or dictates, and signs off in one screen.

  3. File

Signed-off notes are staged into the facility's EHR, where the physician signs, and move on to billing review.
